You will experience the true underwater world of Lanzarote, previously reserved exclusively for divers. Come aboard and sit back in complete safety and air conditioned comfort, while our professional crew provide you with an unforgettable experience. Clients will be shown into our spacious reception centre on arrival at Puerto Calero. Here they will receive their boarding cards and have a chance to enjoy our video on how the submarine was actually constructed.
Our large office also contains a gift shop with original submarine souvenirs. Each passenger receives a personal dive certificate, which can be collected from our reception centre after the dive.
About Submarine Safaris
Submarine Safaris was established in the summer of 1997. The first and only real Submarine on the island. It brought a new dimension to the island, enabling one and all from young to old to enjoy the magical mysteries of the undersea world.
Since our first dive we have established a unique relationship with the undersea world surrounding Puerto Calero. Many species of fish visit the area and are attracted to the submarine by our unique fish feeding program.
SUB FUN TRES (the name of our submarine) was built at a cost of 3.5 million US Dollars. She is designed for safety and total comfort so our passengers can fully enjoy their dive. The cabin is maintained at normal atmospheric conditions, so pregnant women, heart patients and persons with ear problems will not be affected in any way.

The actual dive will take approx. one hour.
This includes boarding and disembarking the submarine. Each dive carries a tour guide who will give a comprehensive explanation about the dive and submarine. Cameras are perfectly suitable for taking pictures inside the submarine. We recommend a high speed film (400 ASA) in order to capture all the sights.
Onboard the submarine you will be allocated your personal seat, right in front of the submarines large viewing ports, ensuring total viewing pleasure to the outside underwater world. Each view port has its own TV monitor giving you alternative viewing angles, along with a digital display panel giving continuous information about the submarine.
We offer a free daily bus service when you book your dive from Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen to our offices in Puerto Calero. A bus service is also offered from Playa Blanca on set days (details given when booking).
Passengers coming by Submarine Bus will be given a pick up time when making their booking. Passengers making their own way to Puerto Calero must be at the Submarines Reception Centre 30 minutes prior to their dive time.
This will give them time to obtain their boarding cards and complete their personal details.
